Hello Meadow Projection Mapping almost didn’t happen—Valentine’s weekend left us just one night to fill a floor-to-ceiling wall with visuals and then walk away. Here’s the play-by-play of how we pulled off a “set it & forget it” immersive collage for the Love & Culture pop-up party.
Why Hello Meadow Projection Mapping Needed a “Set & Forget” Approach
Venue first timer: Hello Meadow had never hosted projection mapping.
Family crunch: Valentine’s weekend = limited on-site hours for the Halucinated crew.
Affordability: One short-throw projector and a plug-and-play media player delivered big impact without a big budget.
Goal: Create a vibrant ambient backdrop that could run on autopilot all night.
Gear & Workflow Snapshot
Projector: Optoma short-throw (floor-to-ceiling coverage)
Mount: Crank-up tripod (“cranky Yankee”)
Content: Pre-rendered throwback collage (mixed in Resolume)
Playback: Solid-state media player → HDMI → projector (loop mode)
Why loop? Families, Valentine’s weekend, zero laptop babysitting
Outcome
A seamless ambient wall let Love & Culture focus on music and movement while our visuals kept the vibe immersive—no tech crew glued to a laptop.
